Our Mission

We will work for an empowered Filipino community actively engaged in the movement for local and global justice. We aim to educate, organize, and mobilize the low-income and working-class families of the Filipino community in Southern California and address the issues and concerns that we face in our daily lives.

Our Vision

We dream of a society where a family is not torn apart by urgent need for survival. We dream and will actively work for a society where there is equal opportunity to live a decent and humane life.

We organize low-wage workers and provide them with educational resources, tools, and trainings to strengthen their collective voice and leadership capacity to fight for respect, dignity, basic rights, and living wages in their workplaces.

We develop and support the leadership of Filipino high school youth in Carson and Long Beach to organize for social change in their schools and communities. Through educational workshops offered during the school year and every summer, students learn about our culture, history, and the legacy of Filipino heroes through theater, music, painting, and video production!

Walking Club Anniversary.jpg

Since 2014, we have hosted the FMC Walking Club in Westside Long Beach. Local residents and their families are welcome to walk, exercise, and meet their neighbors in a safe and health-promoting environment. Every month includes special guests who provide training on dealing with blood pressure, diabetes, stress, unhealthy habits, and cooking nutritious food.
